Country and Western in Iceland

The restaurant Kántrýbær in Skagaströnd,is the only place of its kind in Iceland.

You are always most welcome there during the opening season,which is usually from the 1st of June to the 30th of August each year. Kántrýbær is the sole property of the Cowboy Hallbjörn Hjartarson,who is also the King of the Icelandic Country Music.



Hallbjörn is also running a radio station on the second floor of Kántrýbær,the restaurant.

Hallbjörn the cowboy is always saying in his radio "Welcome to your place my friend"Everything you get in the restaurant is produced through the spirit of the place.
In Skagaströnd there is enough camping places and the surrounding landscape is known for
its beauty.
